The Small Event is Our Speciality

We got into this business because we didn't want to pay outrageous sums of money for our own events. We can appreciate the fact that an organization cannot allot a ton of money just to get a low-end P.A. system for a few hours. We understand that struggling solo artists selling CDs at a street fair aren't able to afford much for their sound or lighting system.

Small Event Sound Systems

Overview

Like any sound company, we like to brag about our high-quality, major-name, equipment that we use on larger shows. However, we also like to brag about our not-so-big name equipment. Because the gear that doesn't require a second mortgage on our houses is the gear that makes it possible for us to do small shows. For example, we have a small 1,200-watt powered mixing board that we typically use for small shows. That board and amplifier package cost us about 1/20th the price of our larger P.A. system. It also takes us about 1/10th the time to set it up. As a result, we can charge far less for the use of the system while still providing full sound for a small band or solo artist.

Our "C" Rig

The Plantation Productions "C" system is perfect for small events featuring solo artists or bands with 2-3 members who don't have complex monitor requirements. This system will support 150 (outdoor) or 250 (indoor) audience members at a reasonable sound level. If the performers provide their own instrument amplification, the audience size can be boosted by a small amount.

  • (4) JBL Mpro 415 speaker cabinets (two FOH/two monitor)
  • (2) QSC RMX1450 amplifiers (700 watts each)
  • 12-Channel Behringer analog mixing board
  • 1 channel monitor mix (fed to two monitor cabinets)
  • Up to three vocal mics (Shure SM58 and Beta 58)
  • Up to four instrument mics (Shure SM57 and Beta 57)
  • CD player
  • Kick and overhead mic, inputs permitting (Audix Fusion drum kit mic set)
  • All necessary microphone stands and clips
  • All necessary speaker stands
  • All necessary cables (microphone, speaker, and power).
  • Adapter kit, miscellaneous cable kit, etc.

Our "D" Rig

The Plantation Productions "D" system is perfect for small events requiring public address/background music or solo artists. This system supports an audience up to 100 for music reproduction, or several hundred for public address applications.

  • 16-Channel Behringer PMP-3000 powered mixing board (1,200 watts)
  • Up to two vocal mics (Shure SM58 and Beta 58), stands, and cables
  • Adapter kit, miscellaneous cable kit, etc.
