| Almost any event is going to require some power. If your event is remote (that is, isn't near a suitable source of power) then Plantation Productions, Inc., can provide the means of delivering power wherever it is needed. For simple requirements, we can provide all the extension cords you need as well as junction boxes/power strips to take power from existing wall outlets (15 amps per circuit) to the point the power is needed. For higher power requirements, particularly if there aren't sufficient outlets on separate circuits near the point of performance itself, Plantation Productions, Inc., can tap into the breaker panel and deliver up to 100 amps to a point 100-200 feet away from the panel. Our "spider" box is fully protected with 20 amp breakers on each of the circuits leaving the box. For remote events that aren't near an on-grid power source, Plantation Productions, Inc., provides two generator options: a 3,500 watt generator (up to 25 amps continuous) and a 15,000 watt generator. We also recommend the use of the 15,000 watt generator for large shows employing audio and lighting as putting the lights on the generator reduces the possibility of annoying hum in the audio system. In some special cases where a generator would be inappropriate because of noise or exhaust fume concerns, Plantation Productions, Inc., can also provide a deep-cycle marine battery and 750W inverter for low-power applications. We are more than happy to provide power for your own equipment (or other vendor's equipment) as well as power our own equipment. For example, Plantation Productions, Inc., can provide portable power generation and distribution for a set of vendors at a street fair or other outdoor/remote site. Plantation Productions, Inc., engineers are well-trained and understand how to safely distribute power. We have the proper equipment to non-invasively determine which outlets are on the same electrical circuit so we don't overload individual breakers in the panel. We know how to safely distribute the power load across different circuits so you don't have a break "trip" during the middle of your show. We know what we are doing, so you don't have to be concerned about someone "hacking" into the venue's power system and creating problems. Of course, we also carry comprehensive insurance (of course, we never intend to use it, but we want you to know that you can rest easy with us). |

Battery life (obviously) depends on the type and amount of electrical load. For example, 100W of CFL lights (equivalent to about 400W of incandescent light) will last about four hours on this battery pack. | |

If a breaker panel is available within 100-200 feet of where you need power, Plantation Productions can tap into the panel and provide you up to 100 amps of 125v power. Because of liability concerns, we will only do this if the breaker panel is not immediately accessible to the general public.
Our power distribution system contains 20 amp breakers for each individual circuit. Note that this package also includes "all the extension cords you need" (i.e., power distribution package #1). |
